Custom Text Tailgate Applique for all 2017-2022 Super Duty® trucks! This tailgate plaque completely replaces your existing tailgate badging (oval or OEM tailgate plaque)
Please note, there are minor differences between each trim level replacement plaque. The 2020-2022 XL, XLT and Lariat trims require a hole to be drilled in the tailgate to power the LEDs. If you do not want to drill a hole, you can wrap the wiring around the edge of the tailgate to the inside. This is not recommended, as the wiring will be exposed, and this option will require you to notch the plaque.
Please note, 2020-2022 XL, XLT and Lariat trims include a notch at the top in the middle of the plaque to go around the OEM oval indent.
Color explanations:
- LED color: The illumination color of the lettering and lines
- Outer border color: Shown textured black in the photos, this is the color of the very outer border, which goes all the way around the inside text plate
- Text plate panel: This is the color of the panel with the text and lines cut out of it.
- Optional accent plate: This color goes on top of all other layers and is optional. If chosen, it will largely change the look of your plaque. Shown brushed silver in many of the preview photos.
- Bolt color: The color of the bolts around the edge of the text panel.
- Please see color labels on the third product images, explaining each color. Please ensure you choose the correct colors, as they cannot be changed afterwards.
No brands or trademarks for the custom text please. This includes trademarked trim names, such as Platinum® and King Ranch®.
